Active Defense

As a Simple Action, a player can declare that he is initiating an Active Defense. The player makes Quickness [Dodge] roll and the result becomes his character’s combat defense until his following turn.

Instead of Quickness, he may choose to roll Fighting [Weapon] if he has the Parry Maneuver, or Fighting [Shield] if he has the Shield Block Maneuver.

This Active Defense rule is a House Rule for this campaign.
